: Edit from other windows
: bubulac March 28, 2009, 02:28:21 AM
Often I find that, while I am using the learn or test feature, I may have some overlapping words and  phrases that I would like to edit rightaway, maybe delete some of them. However, it is impossible to do this without closing the learn/test window, and by the time I finish the testing I already forgot which words I wanted to edit or delete.
It would be very useful to be able to access the Edit window from inside the learn or test windows (without having to close them), maybe have an Edit button on the menu of the Test/Learn windows.
Thanks,
Cristian

The feature is already there, you can edit the currently tested/learned card. Deleting it is not supported, but you can add a comment, e.g. "TO_BE_DELETED" or so, and later on search for the entries with this comment in the stack edit dialog, where you can then delete them.

I have to disagree here... the feature I am looking for is not present. It is true that one can edit an entry in any window, but it is just one entry at a time. While what I am looking for is accessing the Edit window without having to close the Test or Learn window. Maybe not to just edit one entry, but to compare various entries that may appear similar while being learned/tested, or to divide different meanings of a word in separate entries rather than only one, etc...
In short, being able to work in the Edit window without closing the Learn or Test window, and once the work done to be able to resume the learning/testing.
The idea of my suggestion was not the editing, but the access to the Edit window from other windows, without having to close them.
