The Syllable tsu is used to represent double letters and is suppose to be half size, as are any of the Yoons.  How do you make these half size when keying in your own cards.  I have tried various key combo's to no success.  In the short term, I am using below the line.  I would appreciate any help!

If you use the microsoft IME you should be able to just type in the word romanized and hit spacebar.

Example:  "hakkiri" -> はっきり

Type it in exactly how you would romanize it and the small っ should appear.  Same with katakana:

Example (my first name):  "buretto" -> ブレット

Also with the Youons, just type in normal romanization:

Example:  "shusha" -> しゅしゃ -> 取捨

Thanks, boy was I trying to make it difficult.

Note that you can use 'xtu' to enter the small tsu directly, in MS IME and Stackz IME, but Brett's answer is of course the one that is more useful.

You can also type an "l" (lower-case L) preceding the small kana.  Soooo....

la = ぁ
li = ぃ
lu = ぅ
le =ぇ
lo = ぉ
ltsu = っ
lka = ヵ
lke = ヶ

And for small katakana vowels you just press spacebar twice.

la = ァ
li = ィ
lu = ゥ
le = ェ
lo = ォ

This is assuming you're using the standard input method.
