Not responding
« on: May 09, 2006, 03:55:49 AM »
Hi
I sometimes have a problem when I start stackz after not using it for some days. When I open a file, and chose a topic that I want to start reviewing (I study Chinese), the program stops/freezes. I can try several times, but with no luck.
Anyone who has had the same problem, and know how to deal with it?

Thanks

jan

Hi Jan,

What type of device do you own?

Thanks,
Konstantin

I just reinstalled the new 2006 version, and I'm back in the game. But I was this close to scrap the whole thing and switch to Supermemo.
But now we will hopefully live happily ever after......

Hi Jan,

How long should PocketStackz stay in background until you see this problem?

I've never seen this issue and can not explain it...
It might happen on some devices under Windows Mobile 5.0.
WM 5.0 has some internal problem that might slow down the system.
But your device is based on the MS Windows Mobile 2003 SE.
So, it's something different...

Best regards,
Konstantin

Well, I have experienced it a couple of times. Normally it has disappered after some days, but this time I hade the problem for over a week, and it first disappered when I installed the new version.
But I don't recall any spesific time or cause of this. This time I had not used it for perhaps two weeks (shame on me!!).
I can let you know if it happens again, and if I see some logical order of event before this.
(But hopefully it will not happen again.)
